China: Canada-China WTO Capacity Building Project 2004–2008

In July 2004, CTPL in collaboration with IBM Business Consulting Services began a multi-year CIDA-funded project in China to support China's continuing economic reform in areas critical to development of a market economy, particularly its integration into the global trading regime. The project aims to support China's efforts to build a trade-related regulatory regime that complies with WTO principles and obligations and to help China develop options for adjusting to WTO-related socio-economic dislocation.  More information about the project can be found at www.chinawto.ca.
