Monique Moreau

International Legal Counsel


Monique Moreau joined the Centre for Trade Policy and Law in September, 2008 as International Legal Counsel. She assists with CTPL's training and capacity-building programs, and coaches several of CTPL’s unique practical negotiation simulation courses. She also advises on legal issues, including Canadian constitutional law. Additionally, Monique manages communications and media inquiries for CTPL.


Monique also works with the Secretariat of the Global Health Diplomacy Network (www.ghd-net.org), based at CTPL, and is the managing editor of one of its publications, the Health Diplomacy Monitor.

Prior to joining CTPL, Monique completed a B.A. (Hons) in Communications and a law degree at the University of Ottawa. She articled in Calgary at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and is admitted to the bars of Alberta and Ontario. She is a board member of Canadian Lawyers Abroad-Avocats canadiens à l'étranger (CLA-ACE).
